Bringing in the New Year

And so the year has begun. Slept in a bit. Went to a birthday party at the skating rink, booked my son's party for next week (uggh), came home and took a breathing treatment (having some respiratory issues) and rested for the evening.

After taking some cold medicine, I doze off but kinda hear "mom can we give the puppy a bath"... not sure if that is a good idea but the meds are kicking in so I'm out of it. I hear a lot yelling, bumping and barking. Through the medicine fog I hear "Moooommmm it's to hard to give the puppy a bath. She keeps jumping out of the tub."

This can not be good. I'm afraid to go upstairs.

A wet puppy greets me at the top of the stairs.. she's trying to escape to somewhere safe but all bed room doors are closed and the baby gate is up so she can't go anywhere.

There is water everywhere. I think there might be about 1 inch on the floor and not sure if there are towels left in the closet.

Puppy is yelping...I get to grab her and pour water over her. I get splashed..got soap in my eyes, my pj's are soaked, both of the kids are soaked ok so far so good we are on target for disaster.

Finally the deed is done. Got the puppy dried..ok so the walls got a little wet. I smell like wet dog. Time for my own shower and a glass of wine
